A Financial Office Reimagined
When the team at 406 Financial reached out, they were ready for a full transformation—one that honored the legacy of their building while embracing the modern needs of their growing firm.
The original space was dated, inefficient, and didn’t reflect the forward-thinking spirit of their work. They envisioned something lighter, more open, and capable of evolving with the times—without sacrificing professionalism or comfort.
Design with Intent
Our approach was rooted in functionality and flexibility, with a clear focus on timeless materials and improved flow. We layered in subtle textures, black accent details, and a foundation of warm neutrals to create a calming, grounded atmosphere.
Art became a key storytelling element: pieces by Montana artists and regional landscapes speak to both place and pride. Glass partitions increased the sense of openness and transparency, while the layout was completely reimagined to support privacy, collaboration, and ADA accessibility throughout—including fully remodeled, code-compliant bathrooms.
Navigating Historic Challenges
Like many buildings of its age, the structure brought surprises—from uneven floors and outdated insulation to compromised acoustics and aging infrastructure.
To overcome this, we worked closely with the GC, Eastfork Construction (Glasgow, MT), to level the base, insulate office exterior walls, and make necessary ceiling adjustments that supported both aesthetics and performance.
We also modernized the security and tech systems to align with today’s operational demands.

Thoughtful Details, Lasting Impact
Some of our favorite moments in this project include the tiled ADA bathrooms, custom ceiling elements, and layered design accents that create a rhythm as you move through the space.
These small details add texture and interest—reminding visitors that even a commercial office can feel considered, warm, and reflective of the people who work there.
“We can’t believe it’s the same office.”
