Central Montana | Main Floor Residential Remodel
Client Goals
This remodel was all about rethinking the flow of the home for hosting, comfort, and long-term accessibility. The client, who lives alone with her dogs, envisioned a space that would feel welcoming during family gatherings while still functioning efficiently for daily living. Key goals included:
A more open, intuitive layout
A walk-in shower with future flexibility for grab bars
A spacious bedroom with walk-in closet and natural light
An updated kitchen designed for entertaining and cooking from home
A better transition from the garage entrance with storage for coats and dog food
Moving the laundry area to a discreet, guest-friendly location
Updated finishes, fixtures, and lighting throughout
Design Solutions
To meet the client’s needs, we completely reworked the layout of the main level, centering the design around warmth, function, and ease of movement. Rustic textures meet refined materials in every room—from knotty walnut cabinetry and antiqued brass fixtures to cozy wall-to-wall performance carpet in the bedroom. The new kitchen features granite countertops, ceramic tile backsplash, and custom lighting perfect for hosting holidays and family celebrations.
The garage entry was updated with practical storage, and the laundry was relocated to a closet with concealed access. The bathroom was redesigned for spaciousness and safety, featuring porcelain tile, a pebble mosaic shower floor, and brushed bronze accents. Throughout the home, finishes were selected to create a cohesive, timeless backdrop for everyday living.

Project Reflections
This remodel wasn’t just about updating finishes — it was about giving the client a home that supports how she lives now, while thoughtfully planning for the years ahead. One of our favorite moments was seeing the new kitchen come to life: warm, open, and designed for connection. From a dog-friendly drop zone at the garage to the walk-in shower built with longevity in mind, every corner of this home was reimagined with care, purpose, and a personal touch.
